The first to report the news of his resignation was the Financial Times, which cites a letter from the manager sent to the company’s employees. \u201cIt is with a heavy heart that I wanted to let you know that I have decided to leave the company,\u201d Mayer wrote in the communication. His role will be held ad interim by the group’s general manager, Vanessa Pappas.<\/p>\n\n
Mayer’s step backwards comes after particularly heavy weeks for the Chinese company, in which – to verbal threats from various figures in the US administration – Trump’s executive orders followed that effectively force the revenge of TikTok’s activities in the country.
