Top 15 most active journalists on social media. In June Scanzi star performer, then Porro and Mentana. Tommasi and Gramellini enter the ranking

Also in June, as for three months now, at the top of the ranking of the most active journalists on social media, drawn up by Sensemakers for Primaonline.it based on Shareablee data, there are Andrea Scanzi, first with 7.1 million interactions (likes, comments, shares) and Nicola Porro, second with 1.9 million.

Scanzi and Porro are – on opposite sides – two exponents of that aggressive communication, filled with insults and controversies, which is popular on social networks. A narcissistic and egocentric world, where we show ourselves to be admired or hated, rather than loved, explains the French psychiatrist Jean-Christophe Seznec in his latest book ‘The magic virtue of measuring words’, published in recent days by Feltrinelli.

Scanzi has no difficulty in admitting his narcissism, on the contrary he claims it, as his divisive attitude claims: “Everything arose except indifference, even in high school it was like this”, he says in an interview granted to Panorama on June 26, on the eve of ‘last episode of’ Accordi e disaccordi ‘, the program that leads to Nove together with Luca Sommi. “But more than on TV”, he explains, “my narcissism feeds on the audience of a full theater for one of my shows or for a top-ranked book”. Sensemakers’ June surveys will certainly be another source of pride for Scanzi, given that all ten of the ‘best performing posts’ are his, that is, those that have scored the highest number of interactions (see the second table). As for the books, the journalist of Fatto Quotidiano has just published the instant book ‘I cazzari del virus’, written with a beating drum in the weeks of the lockdown and published by Paper First (the publishing house of the Fact), which promises to replicate the sales record of his previous book, ‘Il cazzaro verde’, a long invective against Matteo Salvini, now in its thirteenth reprint.

In terms of invectives Porro is no exception. Aggressive communication is a distinctive trait of the deputy editor of the Giornale in his interventions on social media, on his blog Zuppa di Porro and on television programs, such as the talk show ‘Quarta Repubblica’ which has been hosting for two years on Rete 4. Here are some of the titles that the newspapers dedicated to his speeches in June: “Nicola Porro against Roberto Burioni:« The head of min *** a that you would like to kick in the ass »”; “Nicola Porro on Vittorio Feltri:” He doesn’t give a damn about the order, lucky he can. We are stuck »”; “Nicola Porro against Giuseppe Conte:« Tridico? Holy shit, only now does the prime minister understand that it’s a blowjob? “”.

In third place, with 1.5 million interactions, Enrico Mentana, in the past always very much at the top of the standings, but now somewhat detached. The director of Tg La 7 and editor of the online newspaper Open uses popular language without ever being violent or vulgar and this perhaps penalizes him in a period of strong opposition like the present. Mentana is also penalized by the fact that it does not publish videos on social networks, unlike Scanzi, which with its videos has 27.5 million views on Facebook and YouTube (where it opened a channel in May), and Porro who scores 6.2 million.
