On July 6th, Virman Cusenza had surprisingly announced the decision to leave the direction of the Messenger after twelve years of work. Cusenza at the time did not want to say what he would do. Today a press release from Fremantle, one of the world’s leading companies in the creation, production and distribution of scripted and unscripted content, reports that the journalist has signed a collaboration agreement for the group’s documentary sector, a rapidly expanding sector on which the group is investing in all its territories.

The collaboration of Cusenza will also be invaluable for Wildside and The Apartment, the group’s scripted labels in Italy, which each year develop and produce dozens of series and films including many based on news, historical and great literary works.

Andrea Scrosati group coo from Fremantle, who has known Cusenza since he was head of a media relations company in Rome, said: “I am really proud that a professional with the experience and extraordinary curriculum like Virman has chosen to collaborate with Fremantle. The documentary segment is a strategic sector for the group and I have no doubt that Virman’s collaboration will make our offer in Italy and in the world even stronger ”.

Cusenza says he is enthusiastic “to be able to combine the professional experience I have gained over the years with the opportunities and potential of television productions that have built the prestige of a global brand. The collaboration with a successful innovator like Andrea Scrosati, then, gives me the certainty of being able to build together an offer that combines the rigor of the sources with the ability to grasp in advance the needs for in-depth analysis and knowledge of an audience of increasingly vast “.
