The helm of Rai News 24 passes to Andrea Vianello, with the unanimous vote of the Rai Board of Directors, according to what is learned from qualified sources. Vianello thus takes over as director from Antonio Di Bella who could, for the moment, resume the role of US correspondent already held for about a year starting in October 2010.
Vianello made his debut at Rai in Gr1 in the early nineties, in 1999 he made his debut on Rai2 television. Numerous programs have been conducted over the years. From 29 November 2012 to 18 February 2016 he is director of Rai3. Since July 2017 he has been deputy director of Rai1 with responsibility for current affairs, custom programs and innovative information formats.
In January 2020 he published the book ‘Every word I knew’, telling a dramatic story: on February 2, 2019 he was struck by a cerebral ischemia, which temporarily removed his ability to speak, recovered after long rehabilitation therapies. (Adnkronos)
